On October 31, 2016 the CERT Division at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute and the Pittsburgh Technology Council will host the Cyburgh, PA Initiative - 2016 Healthcare Cybersecurity Symposium. The purpose of the event is to bring together experts to discuss current challenges in the areas of healthcare cybersecurity.
We have limited the event to no more than 200 professionals to encourage full audience participation within a community of experts. This symposium is part of the Cyburgh, PA Initiative event series, to promote the Greater Pittsburgh region as a center of excellence in cybersecurity.

This one-day event, through a series of presentations, panels, a demonstration, and collaborative discussions, will explore challenges and offer some ideas for a way forward. The symposium will bring together government, academic, and private sector communities to share insights, and catalyze new relationships.
As a US Department of Defense Federally Funded Research and Development Center (DoD FFRDC), the CERT Division at Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute applies insights gained through leading-edge R&D to address pervasive and increasing technology, security, process, and workforce challenges. The CERT Division, as a trusted authority, coordinates symposiums on various, important cyber security topics to improve the state of practice.

The Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC) helps tech companies succeed through a proven platform of business development, talent strategies, government relations and visibility services.
