Western PA HIMSS Committees
Advocacy Committee: TBD
Communications Committee: Formed to help strengthen the communication among WPA HIMSS members. The committee will recognize members contributions and achievements, share relevant information about local organizations, and synchronize and complement communications with HIMSS national.
Finance Committee: Responsible for reviewing Chapter revenue and expenses as well as developing an annual budget for presentation to the full Board of Directors. This group also suggests strategies for ongoing fiscal management to include an annual audit.
Professional Development Committee: TBD
Programs Committee: Responsible for identifying opportunities to expand the skill set of members and customers regarding health information technology and management through Chapter-sponsored programs. Committee activities determination of information such as topic, speaker, and length of program; venue; marketing efforts; and logistics related to each event. Program evaluation data is analyzed and used to identify future educational initiatives.
Sponsorship Committee: Responsible for developing collaborative relationships with organizations to support the Chapter’s ongoing work. These connections include defining the levels of support as well as the mutual benefits to sponsors and the Chapter. Members of this committee also serve as liaisons between sponsors and the Chapter.
